Cialisis a non-prescription medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It is commonly used for adult men but is not suitable for women, especially for women with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions such as cardiovascular thrombogenesis (foreseen andWOODressing) or liver cirrhosis. Cialis is available in two doses: 10mg and 20mg. Cialis is usually taken orally, with or without food, about one hour before sexual activity, but may be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity. Cialis is to be taken as needed, usually at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Cialis does not work against you; if you do choose to use it, speak to your doctor or pharmacist about alternative treatments.
Cialis is available both as a daily dose (2.5mg or 5mg) and as a weekly dose (1.5mg or 2.5mg). Daily doses are lower in price. The daily dose is 5mg for men and 10mg for women. The weekly dose is 5mg for men and 10mg for women. The maximum daily dose is 1.5mg. It is not recommended for women to take Cialis daily, as it can cause serious liver damage. A liver function test should be performed before treatment with Cialis to determine if it is suitable for you. If you do take Cialis daily, tell your doctor about it. Your doctor may need to test your liver function before you start taking Cialis, and you should tell your doctor about it if you have kidney problems or are being treated with diuretics (water pills). Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any medicine in Cialis and if you have any other allergies. Cialis is not approved for use in women. Cialis should not be used in men.
Cialis works by inhibiting the enzyme PDE5. This enzyme is responsible for the relaxation of the muscles of the penis, which allows increased blood flow during sexual arousal. Cialis increases the amount of urine produced and the volume of fluid in the penis. Increased urine flow allows for better control over the sexual arousal. It does not work in the absence of sexual stimulation.

Take one tablet about one hour before you intend to engage in sexual activity. Cialis is to be taken with water. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Cialis should be taken as needed, usually 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity, but may be taken more than 4 hours before sexual activity.
1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.
Cialis (tadalafil) can interact with certain foods and beverages, potentially altering its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. Here are the key drug-food interactions to be aware of:
Both Cialis and tadalafil can interact with grapefruit and grapefruit juice, leading to changes in their contents. Some compounds with alpha-blocking effects are alfalfa extracts, such as Horny Goat Grapefruit and Ginkgo Helpers, and grapefruit juice antidepressants, such as Cialis and St John’s Wort, which interact with alcohol and increase dizziness or fainting. Do not take Cialis or tadalafil with grapefruit and grapefruit juice while using Cialis.
75mg Cialis can be taken with or without food, but the effects can wear off after a few hours. Do not take Cialis or tadalafil more often than 12 hours after taking Cialis.
